National organizations serve as vital links providing programs, support and services to their membership. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) encourages state, towns, local governments and Indian tribes to work with national, international, local organizations, alliances, and other programs to increase the success of their EECBG program implementations.

CERT - The Counsel for Energy Resource Tribes (CERT) is a "true" inter-tribal organization that is dynamically changing and challenging the federal-Indian relationship. The energy resource Tribes govern, control, and direct CERT. Each tribe is represented on the CERT Board of Directors by its principal elected official.

ESC - The Energy Services Coalition (ESC) is a national nonprofit organization composed of a network of experts from a wide range of organizations working together at the state and local level to increase energy efficiency and building upgrades through energy savings performance contracting. Energy savings performance contracting enables building owners to use future energy savings to pay for up-front costs of energy-saving projects, eliminating the need to dip into capital budgets.

EPA - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) works in partnership with the DOE help U.S. us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.

HUD - The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is a government organization whose mission is to increase homeownership, support community development and increase access to affordable housing free from discrimination. To fulfill this mission, HUD embraces high standards of ethics, management and accountability and forges new partnerships--particularly with faith-based and community organizations--that leverage resources and improve HUD's ability to be effective at the community level.

NACo - There are 3,068 counties in the U.S. Counties vary greatly in size and population. NACo maintains a comprehensive database of information on counties, including a listing of county officials, and links to Capitolimpact.com, which provides nationwide county statistics such as economic and demographic data.

NAESCO - National Association of Energy Service Companies is a national trade association which has been promoting the benefits of the widespread use of energy efficiency for over 20 years. On behalf of its membership, NAESCO works to help open new markets for energy services by directly promoting the value of demand reduction to customers through seminars, workshops, training programs, publication of case studies and guidebooks, and the compilation and dissemination of aggregate industry data.

NASEO - The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) is the only national non-profit organization whose membership includes the governor-designated energy officials from each state and territory.

National League of Cities - The National League of Cities (NLC) is the only national non-profit organization whose membership includes the governor-designated energy officials from each state and territory.

NCAI - Founded in 1944, The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) has been working to inform the public and Congress on the governmental rights of American Indians and Alaska Natives. Now serving as the major national tribal government organization, NCAI is positioned to monitor federal policy and coordinated efforts to inform federal decisions that affect tribal government interests.

NCSL - The National Conference of State Legislatures was founded in 1975 with the conviction that legislative service is one of democracy's worthiest pursuits. NCSL is a bipartisan organization that serves the legislators and staffs of the nation's 50 states, its commonwealths and territories. NCSL provides research, technical assistance and opportunities for policymakers to exchange ideas on the most pressing state issues

NGA - National Governors Association (NGA) is the collective voice of the nation's governors and one of Washington, D.C.'s, most respected public policy organizations. NGA provides governors and their senior staff members with services that range from representing states on Capitol Hill and before the Administration on key federal issues to developing policy reports on innovative state programs and hosting networking seminars for state government executive branch officials. The NGA Center for Best Practices focuses on state innovations and best practices on issues that range from education and health to technology, welfare reform, and the environment.

U.S. Conference of Mayors - The U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) is the official nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more. There are 1,200 such cities in the  today. Each city is represented in the Conference by its chief elected official, the mayor.
